Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Won't play Friday

Nurse (ankle) will not play Friday's away game against the Capitals despite being activated from injured reserve earlier in the day.

Analysis:

Considering Nurse has already missed 36 games to his injury, the team must assume that there can't be much harm in holding him out for at least one more. The 22-year-old blueliner will be a likely candidate to return for Sunday's game in Nashville.
