Rangers' Kevin Klein: Battling back spasms

Klein is not expected to suit up for Saturday's game against the Devils or Sunday's matchup with the Blue Jackets as a result of back spasms.

Analysis:

Klein's sudden absence Thursday makes a bit more sense now, as back spasms are less of an acute injury and are more predicated on how much the player can tolerate. The veteran defenseman will likely use the weekend to rest up until the spasms subside. He's scored just two goals in the month of February and hasn't posted an assist since Jan. 17, so the majority of fantasy owners aren't likely to miss his scoring production.
