Oilers' Cam Talbot: Ready for road match with Caps

Talbot will start in goal Friday night versus host Washington, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.

Analysis:

If there is any fear about riding Talbot to the ground, the Oilers aren't showing it. The Ontario native will be making his 55th start this season, as he leads the league in goalie playing time by a wide margin. His next foe is a Washington team that's averaged 3.67 goals per game at home, so it's no wonder why Oilers coach Todd McLellan will go back to the well once again with Talbot, who has fashioned a 31-16-7 record, 2.36 GAA and .921 save mark in 2016-17.
