Sabres' Derek Grant: Assigned to AHL

Grant, who has recovered from a shoulder injury, was assigned to AHL Rochester on Friday, the Olean Times Herald reports.

Analysis:

After a great training camp and winning a roster spot, Grant has just three assists in 40 games with Buffalo. He was waived earlier in the year and claimed by Nashville, where he played six games before re-joining Buffalo after getting waived again. The fourth-line center has not made much of an impact on the ice or in fantasy.
