Bruins' Austin Czarnik: Sent to AHL Providence
Czarnik (lower body) was activated from injured reserve and sent to the Providence Bruins of the AHL on Thursday.
Analysis:
The former Miami Redhawk has been out of the lineup since Feb. 9, missing the team's last five games. Since being placed on IR, the Bruins made a head coaching change, and new bench boss Bruce Cassidy seems to like his current forward group, which doesn't include Czarnik. That said, many forwards have had inconsistent campaigns for Boston in 2016-17, so it's not out of the realm of possibility for Czarnik to find himself back in the NHL in the near future.
