Islanders' Thomas Greiss: Starting in net Thursday

Greiss will defend the cage for Thursday's matchup in Montreal.

Analysis:

The German netminder is coming off a win in his last start, which came Tuesday after stopping 26 of 27 shots. After a really rough patch in which he went 2-3-0 with a 4.10 GAA and .866 save percentage, Greiss seems like he may be turning a corner with his play. Over his last three contests, Greiss is 2-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .920 save percentage. His Thursday opponents are 1-1-0 since Claude Julien took over behind the bench, scoring a total of three goals in those games.
