Islanders' Casey Cizikas: Placed on IR

Cizikas (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday.

Analysis:

The energetic forward was already ruled out for four weeks Wednesday, so this move is essentially a formality. With Cizikas out of the lineup, Bracken Kearns will be centering the Isles' fourth line for the time being, but don't expect him to be nearly as productive as Cizikas in this role.
