Lightning's Ryan Callahan: Undergoes procedure Wednesday

Callahan had a follow-up procedure conducted on his right hip Wednesday and will remain out indefinitely.

Analysis:

While the team has officially said that the injury will keep Callahan out indefinitely, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Callahan is likely done for the rest of the regular season. At this point, that assessment would not be surprising, considering all the trouble this injury has caused the veteran winger this season. He'll rehab and likely try to make it back for the NHL playoffs if the Lightning do indeed make it that far.
