Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Cooled off by Islanders

Mrazek gave up three goals on 22 shots in Tuesday's home loss to the Islanders.

Analysis:

He'd heated up in recent games, posting a .946 save percentage over his last four outings, but this one represented a bit of a step back. Still, it's hard to ignore the positives in Mrazek's recent play, and with Jared Coreau not giving him any kind of run for his money, the Czech netminder should continue holding down top duties in net while Jimmy Howard (knee) remains out. He'll get a chance to work on refining his game over the week to come, as the Wings don't play again until next Tuesday in Vancouver.
