Sharks' Nikolay Goldobin: Sent down to minors

Goldobin was reassigned to the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL on Monday.

Analysis:

The winger spent two games with the big club, going pointless in both. While this move could have been made because the Sharks don't play another game until Saturday, it would be surprising if Goldobin is recalled prior to that game. He was virtually invisible in Sunday's overtime loss to Boston, with a minus-1 rating being his only recorded statistic in 7:46 of ice time.
