Red Wings' Riley Sheahan: Makes rare appearance on scoresheet
Sheahan registered a primary assist to break a tie in the first period of Sunday's game against the Penguins. The Red Wings would end up with a 5-2 road win.
Analysis:
Sheahan's outing reminds us of the old adage, "Even a broken clock is right two times a day." The 25-year-old pivot has really struggled this season, as he's skated to a minus-19 rating and is still looking for that elusive goal despite hoisting 78 shots in 57 games. Wings coach Jeff Blashill likes deploying Sheahan on special teams -- he's averaging 1:04 on the power play and 1:11 during the penalty kill -- but he's not producing in those situations. It's best to leave the Ontario native on the wire in fantasy.
