Lightning's Cory Conacher: Sent back to AHL

Conacher was reassigned to the team's AHL Syracuse affiliate Sunday, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Tampa Bay recalled the 27-year-old winger Saturday as an apparent depth option, but he didn't draw into the lineup and has since been sent down. This has been a common theme for the team's fringe players this season, so it shouldn't come as a shock to many that he's headed back. Even if he rejoins the Bolts again this season, it's unlikely Conacher will gain fantasy relevance in the majority of leagues.
