Penguins' Josh Archibald: Heads back to minors
Archibald was returned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis:
Not much was expected out of Archibald upon his most recent call-up to the NHL, though he ended up dropping jaws in his season debut last Saturday, skating to a plus-2 rating with a pair of goals -- including a shortie -- over 9:10 of ice time. The fleet-footed winger could receive another call-up if and when injuries threaten the defending champs; he's also a consideration for the big club when the Penguins face some of the league's top power-play teams.
