Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Toppled by Penguins in overtime

Hellebuyck gave up four goals on 39 shots en route to a 4-3 overtime loss in Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Analysis:

This was a roller-coaster game for the young goalie, who opened it by giving up an Evgeni Malkin goal just 59 seconds in. He found himself behind 2-0 by the second intermission, but the Jets stormed back with three straight goals, only for Hellebuyck to give up the game-tying tally to Phil Kessel late in the third; Sidney Crosby then finished it off in OT. Hellebuyck has been typically inconsistent since retaking the net from the injured Ondrej Pavelec (concussion), and there's no reason to think that's about to change during this season's stretch run.
