Rangers' Pavel Buchnevich: Sits out while healthy Thursday

Buchnevich was a healthy scratch for Thursday's game against the Islanders, with Rangers coach Alain Vigneault noting that he felt the rookie looked "nervous" and had a "little dip there in energy level" in Monday's game, the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Since posting a four-game point streak upon returning from a back injury, Buchnevich had marked the scoresheet just once in a 10-game span, and his ice time accordingly dropped precipitously. He probably won't be on the sidelines for long, though, so look for the 21-year-old Russian to get it going again once he's allowed back on game ice.
