McDonagh went scoreless with a minus-2 rating against the Islanders on Thursday.
Analysis:
He'd picked up points in four of the last six, but McDonagh still hasn't put up a multi-point outing since doing so twice in a row in late December. Even so, the Rangers' captain is just two points short of last season's total (34), putting him in prime position to set a new raft of career highs before the year is out.
