Islanders' Thomas Greiss: Bounces back into win column

Greiss stopped the Rangers 25 times on 27 shots in Thursday's 4-2 win.

Analysis:

Coming off a five-start stretch in which he'd posted a 4.10 GAA and .866 save mark, Greiss badly needed this bounce-back effort against the Isles' crosstown rivals. He's generally been a stabilizing presence in the blue paint, so it'd be no surprise if Greiss were to build on this outing when he draws the low-scoring Devils either Saturday or Sunday, as the two teams are playing a home-and-home set.
