Islanders' Thomas Greiss: Receives starting nod Thursday
Greiss will tend the twine for Thursday's clash with the Rangers.
Analysis:
In his last six starts at the Barclays Center, Greiss has been stellar, posting a 5-0-1 record to go along with a 2.14 GAA and .927 save percentage. Just like any "Battle of New York," Thursday's game will be emotional with a playoff feel, which could lead to a low-scoring tilt. The German's statline will benefit if that is the case, but he'll still have to outduel Henrik Lundqvist, who's beginning to find his form in the Ranger net.
