Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Fills net in memorable return

Malkin (knee) netted the game-winning goal and added an assist in a 4-0 win against the Canucks on Tuesday.

Analysis:

His return from a seven-game absence was well worth the wait. The Russian pivot skated 18:36, seven seconds higher than his season average -- an indication that he's playing without restriction. Malkin's now has scored 12 goals and 38 points in 26 home tilts, and with 56 overall points, he trails Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid by only five for the league lead.
