Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Game-time decision against Vancouver
Malkin (knee) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's meeting with the Canucks, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports.
Analysis:
Although coach Mike Sullivan designated Malkin a game-time call, all signs point to the center being back in the lineup. In addition to being a full participant at practice Monday, Malkin joined the top power-play unit, Pens Inside Scoop reports. It is also worth noting that while the 30-year-old remains on injured reserve, the Pens have an open spot on the 23-man roster and would not need to make a corresponding move to activate him. Look for confirmation prior to puck drop, but all the indicators seem to say Malkin will be on the ice.
