Senators' Mike Condon: Picks up win in relief appearance Sunday

Condon stopped 22 of 24 shots in relief of an injured Andrew Hammond on Sunday against the Islanders, leading to a 6-2 win.

Analysis:

Hammond left the game in the first period after getting twisted up, but he was able to later return as emergency backup. The severity of his injury is unclear, however, so Condon could potentially see increased playing time in the future. The 26-year-old, who was also excellent in a win on Saturday, is now 6-3-2 on the season with a .924 save percentage. He hasn't seen much action since arriving in Ottawa, but he's made the most of it and could see an increased role if Hammond is out for an extended period of time.
