Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Scheduled to start against Ducks on Saturday

Mrazek will work in net as Saturday's home starter against the Ducks, Helene St. James of The Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis:

Mrazek ceded the last three starts to Jimmy Howard after the veteran returned from a groin injury, but the Wings lost all of those games due in large part to tallying just one goal in each. Detroit really needs to solve its power-play woes to give Mrazek a 'W' in this next one. Per the Detroit Free Press, the team within the Motor City has just one power-play marker in the past eight contests. As a result, we'd be skeptical about starting Mrazek against an Anaheim team allowing the ninth-fewest shots on average (28.8) this season.
