Canucks' Jacob Markstrom: Solid in loss
Markstrom was solid but allowed two goals on 28 shots and lost to Washington on Sunday.
Analysis:
The Vancouver netminder was bested by the reigning Vezina Trophy winner Braden Holtby, who shutout the Canucks. Markstrom held his own, though, allowing just one even-strength goal on 21 shots. The other goal he permitted was an Alex Ovechkin power-play marker. Markstrom is now 6-6-2 with a 2.70 GAA and .905 save percentage.
