Avalanche's Semyon Varlamov: Draws start Sunday in Toronto

Varlamov will tend the twine for Sunday's road game against the Maple Leafs.

Analysis:

As the numbers would suggest, Varlamov's play has been absolutely atrocious lately -- he's allowed at least three goals in four of his last five appearances and hasn't won a game. To be fair, the Colorado defense has allowed an astounding 177 shots on goal over that span, so all of the blame can't be placed on the 28-year-old backstop's shoulders. He's not a recommended fantasy play in most matchups, but certainly not against the Maple Leafs, who are scoring 3.00 goals per game.
