Canadiens' Max Pacioretty: Played on broken foot

Pacioretty played on a broken foot through the month of November that is now fully healed, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.

Pacioretty refuses to talk about the injury, but confirmed he played through an adverse condition, telling Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette, "injuries happen all the time, guys play injured all the time. It just happened to be that mine got leaked. But it is what it is. Guys play through a lot throughout the year." The injury sheds light on the Montreal captain's slow start, when he had just five goals through the first 24 games.
