Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog: Expected to play Saturday

Landeskog (lower body) is expected to return to action against the Canadiens on Saturday, but remains on injured reserve.

Analysis:

Since Colorado is under the 23-man roster limit, it can wait to make a final decision on activating Landeskog until after Saturday's game-day skate. If the winger is able to suit up, he will almost certainly slot into a top-six role and could potentially reclaim his spot on the power play. Despite averaging 2:35 of ice time with the man advantage, the 24-year-old has managed just a pair of man-advantage goals.
