Capitals' Philipp Grubauer: Set to man the cage Friday

Grubbier is expected to start between the pipes Friday against the Sabres, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

The German netminder will get his second consecutive start against the Sabres, having turned in a 32-save performance against Buffalo back on Nov. 28. The 24-year-old has not a had a significant workload behind starting goaltender Braden Holtby, but he owns a 1.80 GAA and .936 save percentage in limited action, so he's definitely worth considering for a spot start in standard and daily formats.
