Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Banks shortie in win over Bruins

MacKinnon scored his seventh goal -- an unassisted tally while shorthanded -- in Thursday's 4-2 win over Boston.

Analysis:

He took advantage of a misplay by Torey Krug at the blue line, taking away the puck and streaking down the ice to unleash a shot that beat Anton Khudobin to give the Avs a 2-0 lead. He's recovered from a four-game skid with three points and nine shots in the last two contests, so things are looking up for MacKinnon again. It'd be nice to see him remain a consistent scoresheet presence, though.
