Sabres' Josh Gorges: Joins team for morning skate

Gorges was on the ice for morning skate Tuesday even though he's expected to miss weeks with a foot fracture.

Analysis:

It's a good sign that Gorges can already resume skating; perhaps this means that he'll return sooner than expected. He was supposed to miss multiple weeks, and there is still no date set for his return. The veteran defender has never managed to play a full season in Buffalo, but when he plays, he's a valuable physical defenseman and penalty killer. He's notched just one assist in 23 games this year.
