Red Wings' Jared Coreau: Returned to AHL Grand Rapids

Coreau was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Wednesday.

Analysis:

Jimmy Howard (groin) has been taken off injured reserve, so Coreau will return to consistent action in the AHL. Coreau won't be forgetting this most recent stay with the parent club: The goalie prospect made his NHL debut Saturday against the defending Stanley Cup champion Penguins, and despite allowing four goals on 36 shots in a losing effort, the 25-year-old should take confidence in the fact that he came up with a number of big saves, including robbing Sidney Crosby early in the contest.
