Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Penciled in to start Tuesday

Hellebuyck will tend twine Tuesday, facing the Red Wings at home for his 15th start in the past 18 games, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Analysis:

Hellebuyck hails from Michigan and seems to enjoy facing his hometown team. Granted, the sample size is small, but he's gone 2-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .940 save mark against Detroit in his young career. As a second-year tender, Hellebuyck is enduring growing pains. He was completely shelled against the Oilers last Thursday -- six goals on 29 shots -- but looked more like a seasoned veteran by downing the Blackhawks for a 25-save win just two days ago. Hellebuyck will be hard to trust in daily formats due to his enigmatic ways, but it's worth riding the tide on him in season-long formats.
