Sabres' Erik Burgdoerfer: To make NHL debut Monday

Burgdoerfer, who was called up earlier on Monday, will dress against the Capitals.

Analysis:

Burgdoerfer will fill in for the injured Taylor Fedun (shoulder), who is considered day-to-day. The 27-year-old was signed to a one-year contract this past summer after toiling in the ECHL for five seasons and then the AHL for another two seasons. The New York State native is a minor league player who's getting his first taste of the big leagues due to sheer amount of injuries on the Buffalo blue line. He's expected to see limited ice time on the team's third pairing and offers little to fantasy value.
