McDavid returned to Sunday's game against the Wild after being evaluated for a concussion, John Shannon of Sportsnet reports.

Analysis:

Crisis averted. McDavid departed in the second period when a remote concussion spotter called in for the Oilers' young captain to go through the league's in-game concussion protocol. He returned to the ice for the third period, however, so owners can breathe a sigh of relief.
