Oilers' Connor McDavid: Leaves game for concussion protocol

McDavid was pulled from Sunday's game against the Wild by a concussion spotter and is being evaluated, Derek Van Diest of the Edmonton Sun reports. It's unclear whether he will return to the contest.

Analysis:

McDavid's head hit the ice after he was tripped by Minnesota's Jared Spurgeon. The 19-year-old sits atop the league's scoring perch with a whopping 34 points in 26 games so it goes without saying how much of an impact any injury absence would have on the Oilers (and fantasy owners). Stay tuned for additional information regarding the superstar sophomore.
