Lightning's Ben Bishop: Earns hard-fought victory over Capitals on Saturday

Bishop stopped 34 of 35 shots, including 16 in the third period and overtime combined, to beat Washington in a shootout 2-1 on Saturday.

Analysis:

This was a nice bounce-back effort for the Tampa Bay netminder, as he had allowed 12 goals over his last three starts and won his first game since Nov. 17. The numbers don't look good for Bishop, who is 8-9-0 with a 2.85 GAA and .907 save percentage, but perhaps this performance gets him going and earns him more playing time. He has allowed just two goals over his last 101:54 in net.
