Devils' Pavel Zacha: Leaves contest with facial laceration
Zacha sustained a laceration to his face in the first period of Saturday's game against the Predators and will not return, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
Analysis:
The highly touted rookie left the ice after 2:55 of ice time. He had been hanging around the side boards in the neutral zone and fell to the ice after it appeared that defenseman Roman Josi's stick caught him up high. New Jersey will be off until Tuesday, providing the club with ample time to reevaluate the punchy pivot.
