Predators' Miikka Salomaki: Returns to IR following conditioning stint

Salomaki (hand) returned from his conditioning stint Saturday only to be placed back on injured reserve, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.

Analysis:

Salomaki has missed 20 games and counting with the significant hand injury. The Predators recalled Adam Pardy from the minors Saturday, but given that he's a defenseman and Salomaki a forward, the Predators must be content with their depth up front even with the Finn returning to IR.
