Blues' Jori Lehtera: Could be scratched Saturday

Lehtera, who was dropped to the third line during Thursday's win over Tampa Bay, practiced as an extra skater Friday, Tom TImmerman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Analysis:

Lehtera shuffled in on the fourth line, a unit that has played well this season, so it's more likely he was there as an extra and not a new face on that line. He just hasn't provided enough offense this season and coach Ken Hitchcock said a few times after Friday's practice that the team needs more out of him. The 28-year-old center has three goals (one empty-netter) and four assists while making the scoresheet in just five of 20 games. Playing much of the season with Vladimir Tarasenko by his side, Lehtera has managed to assist on just one of Tarasenko's 13 goals. It's not definite he'll be scratched Saturday as Hitchcock said he wanted to sleep on the decision.
