Avalanche's Samuel Henley: Headed back to minors

Henley was reassigned to AHL San Antonio on Friday.

Analysis:

Despite recording his first NHL goal, Henley will not be extending his stay with the Avs. At 23 years old, the center has plenty of time to further develop his game and will get the chance to do so with the Rampage. If nothing else, the youngster has likely put himself on a short list for a call-up should Colorado get bit by the injury bug again.
