Rangers' Ryan McDonagh: Finally gets one through
McDonagh scored his first goal of the season on a first-period power play Thursday, but he also went minus-2 in a 4-3 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis:
He'd gone 24 games and 40 shots without a goal this year, and the Rangers' captain hadn't even picked up a point in the prior four contests, so this was a welcome slump-buster even though it came in a losing effort. McDonagh's seen his scoring tick up a bit -- 14 points in 25 games, a 46-point pace -- so there's reason for his fantasy owners to stay patient when he hits rough patches.
