Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Scheduled to start Thursday

Mrazek will be in the crease Thursday as the home starter against the Panthers, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis:

Fantasy owners putting a lot of stock in historical trends will want to look for an alternative to Mrazek in this one. The Red Wings were outscored by Florida, 9-3, between a pair of losses in October. Granted, that was before the firing of Panthers head coach Gerard Gallant, but further consideration should be given to the fact that Mrazek ranks just outside the top 30 with a 2.91 GAA through 14 games. On the bright side, he's turned in strong efforts over his last two starts.
