Capitals' Jakub Vrana: Promoted to parent club

Vrana was called up from the minors Thursday.

Vrana has been thriving with AHL Hershey since being cut during training camp this year. In 18 appearances, the winger has racked up nine goals and seven helpers. The team also promoted Paul Carey, so it's unclear whether the 20-year-old Vrana will get to make his NHL debut against the Islanders on Thursday.
