Oilers' Milan Lucic: Fine for Tuesday's contest

Lucic wasn't available for morning skate Tuesday, but apparently nothing is wrong with him, and he's on track to play in the evening's contest against the Maple Leafs.

Analysis:

Lucic's absence for the skate may have sent countless fantasy owners in a frenzy, but the hard-hitting winger simply "had the morning off," according to head coach Todd McLellan. Lucic, working in his debut season with the Oilers, has accumulated 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 23 games while skating on the top line with All-World pivot Connor McDavid, and mostly recently, Jesse Puljujarvi, who was the team's fourth overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
