With a backup like Pickard who has a 4-1-1 record and a .932 save percentage, there is no reason for the Avs to rush Semyon Varlamov (upper body) back into the lineup. Looking ahead, if Pickard continues to outperform Varlamov, coach Jared Bednar may need to start considering swapping out the two netminders on a most consistent basis if Colorado are going to get their season back on track.
