Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Participates in non-contact portion Monday

Oshie (upper body) was on the ice for a full practice session Monday, but didn't participate in contact drills, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.

Analysis:

Oshie had most recently remained without a timetable to return, but his limited participation in practice Monday suggests a return to the lineup Thursday could be on the table. The team should update his status again in the coming days, but it's a good sign for fantasy owners as well as a Washington club that he's begun making progress. He would need to graduate to full contact prior to Thursday's contest if there's to be a chance for the star winger to return.
