Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Guarding net Saturday

Mrazek will start in the blue paint Saturday evening against the visiting Canadiens.

Analysis:

Mrazek was pressed into duty against the Devils on Friday night, replacing complementary netminder Jimmy Howard after Howard sustained a groin injury that ultimately caused him to go on injured reserve. Mrazek hasn't looked the part of a starting netminder this season, as he enters this next game with a 3.18 GAA and .897 save mark through 12 appearances. If his struggles continue, the Wings can hand the reins to touted rookie Jared Coreau for his NHL debut.
