Devils' Cory Schneider: Doomed by team's turnovers in loss

Schneider had a forgettable performance at home against the Red Wings on Friday, allowing five goals on 33 shots in an overtime loss.

Analysis:

Could Schneider have been better in this one? Absolutely. However, he shouldn't have to shoulder all the blame, as his allied skaters committed a whopping 11 giveaways, including one that led to a shorthanded goal by Frans Nielsen in the first frame. The 30-year-old has now surrendered 15 goals in the past four games, proving that even (some of) the best fall down at times.
