Blackhawks' Jonathan Toews: Out Friday

Toews (undisclosed) won't play Friday against the Ducks, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Analysis:

With Toews out of the lineup, the Blackhawks will be rolling with a patchwork offense against Anaheim, with Ryan Hartman and Vince Hinostroza expected to skate with Marian Hossa on Chicago's second line. Toews has yet to be ruled out of Saturday's matchup with LA, but his status for that contest appears iffy at best at this juncture.
