Canadiens' Max Pacioretty: Scores Thanksgiving game-winner

Pacioretty broke a 1-1 tie with his fifth goal of the season in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Hurricanes.

Analysis:

Pacioretty's go-ahead goal 14 seconds into the third held up as the game-winner. He also led all forwards with 20:57 of ice time. While Pacioretty had been minus-3 with just one point over his previous five games, there was never much reason for concern given that the 28-year-old is aiming for his fourth straight 30-goal season for an elite Canadiens team.
