Senators' Bobby Ryan: Won't play Tuesday

Ryan (finger) won't be in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with Montreal, TSN Ottawa's Brent Wallace reports.

Analysis:

Although he won't be available Tuesday, head coach Guy Boucher said Ryan "is close to returning," adding that he was "hoping to have him" in the lineup against the Canadiens. It seems as though Ryan will have a legitimate shot at returning to action Thursday against the Bruins, but owners hoping to slot the veteran winger into their lineups should plan on checking back for another update ahead of that contest.
